Tabitha's Granola

What else is there to do on one of the rainiest days of the year other than experiment with combinations of grains and seeds for granola?  That's what I did today!

5 c rolled oats

1/4 c chia seeds
1/4 c ground flax seed
2 c chopped walnuts
1/2 c apple (or other) fruit juice
1/2 c organic maple syrup
2 T cinnamon
1/2 c canola oil
1 c raisins

Mix by hand the grains, seeds, and nuts in a large bowl.
In a small sauce pan heat the wet ingredients at medium until boils.
With a spatula, fold the juice mixture into the oat mixture.  
Spread granola out onto a nice large cookie sheet.
Bake at 350, stirring occasionally to evenly toast.  Bake until you achieve the toastiness you desire (30-45 minutes.)
Stir in raisins.
